Cookie Time

I love making Christmas Cookies..or really decorating any cookies for that matter. For the last few years I've been making them with my cousin and her kiddos. We have way too much fun making the cookies and then decorating them. The kids are quite the artists when it comes to the decorating fact.

The base paper is a Bo Bunny line. I actually bought it anticipating using the other side, but it was too wild. And it worked perfect with the frames, so all is well. This isn't my fanciest layout, but the cookies are pretty fancy.

The snowflakes are an Ellison Die and a Spellbinders Die. I used sparkly white embossing powder on the large snowflake, and a combo of Broken China and Antique Linen Distress Ink, along with Stickles and Tattered Angels mists on the blue ones.

I'm not so sure about that twine. It's from the Tim Holtz line, I picked it up at Joanns. I  normally use The Twinery's twine, and it is very soft and mold-able. This was very thick and stiff. It had more of the consistency of jute rope for bracelets. It kind unwound as I was working with it, but I like the colors.

  1. I love your choice of paper! Using snowflakes with folded ribbons is a nice touch to tie the photos . Your strip journaling is great idea too!

  2. Very cute! Love the frames, the baker's twine and the snowflakes! We are moving into some nicer weather this week---in the 70's, hopefully!

  3. Thanks for the review of Tim Holtz' Baker's Twine. I was curious how it matched up with other twines. I just love what you did with it. Every time I see you use ribbon or twine on a page I freak out. I always forget by the time I go to create a page of my own. NEED TO REMEMBER THIS. Great page, Megan!
