While we were at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens they were getting ready for Halloween. I had to scrap all the different pictures of fall. I used the American Crafts fall line Autumn Crisp. It was fun to play with and I liked all the colors.
All of the pages in this album are 8 x 8 so I can't get as much onto a page. I played around more with using collages to print pictures so they are a bit smaller.
Again I pulled out the Heidi Swapp pink and orange mist along with one of her masks (left page). I used some Versa Mark Watermark Ink to stamp the flower on and then used some bling in the center of the flowers.
On the right page I used my Sew Easy to pierce and sew down the middle. I did some interesting cutting with the two papers and used the different 6x6 pieces throughout the page.
This was such a fantastic vacation and I really want to go back.

Sisters at the Garden
When we were at the Botanical Gardens in Atlanta my mom took this picture and it is absolutely beautiful! I had to make a special page for it.
The background of this page started as plain kraft paper. I then stamped with Versa Mark Watermark Ink and then used embossing powder and heated. Once it was dry I sprayed in Heidi Swapp Ink and it soaked into the plain paper, to make the cool effects.
The metal bling is from Close to my Heart and the flourish is from Michael's recollection line.
My favorite font in this album is Pacifico, I've cut it on my Silhouette throughout this book. The gold-ish paper is from American Crafts, it was a little brighter but I toned it down with distress ink.

On the plane
I had a fun time taking pictures on the plane heading to Atlanta. When I took off from home it was storming pretty bad, plus it was 6am. By the time we were over Chicago the sun was up and I could see Navy Pier. So I had to scrap the plane ride and the tickets.
For the background I started with a gold misted background and then went over with blue mist and a mask. I also misted the flowers with a gold mist. The plane had some Viva paste on top that is super fun!
I cut this tag on my Silhouette and then made the black stitching with my favorite Faber Castell black pen.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens
Happy National Scrapbook Day! I am getting my room cleaned out before I start scrapping. I've neglected it all semester and now it's a disaster. I share my closet with clothes and other seasonal decorations, so it needs a good cleaning. But then it's scrappy time!
This page comes from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I started with a plain kraft background. First I stuck down my title and misted over it with Heidi Swapp Chartreuse ink. Then I pulled off the letters and stamped on top with Versa Mark Watermark Ink. Then I heat embossed. The stamps are Close to my Heart.
It's a little easier to see the letters in this light.
I found these clips by Basic Grey. They clasp on to your memorabilia. And it is great for pamphlets and invites. I am using them throughout the album and they are fantastic.
Have a happy scrappy day!
